  1. This was a disgusting game tonight. I just watched everybody fall to crap in the 9th.

We should’ve lost long before that. Heilman was crap. The throw was crap.

We better pull ourselves into shape the next 2 games or I can foresee us being done by september.

  2. Totally agree after the team showed some heart and came back late in the game, Heilman just self destructs with two outs no less. With the rotation this thin there is no way the Mets can afford to throw away games like these on days when the top 3 are pitching. Disgusting is the right word.

  3. Just one more thing this game reminded me of last years Mets that always seemed to find a way to lose games. I hope we dont see anymore of this.

  4. Definitely a rough loss. The Duaner Sanchez run was big, but we knew he’d give one up sometime. Kudos to Carlos Delgado and Xavier Nady for keeping the Mets in the game til the end. And Heilman’s implosion was ridiculous.

Let’s see how we can bounce back this evening. As I’ve been saying, the hallmark of a playoff team is that they don’t lose three in a row.

  6. The Mets shouldve won the first game but I still hope we can win the series tomorrow and show the east that they are the team to beat. Too many analysts arent giving the Mets the repect they deserve. We win 2 series’ from the Braves and everyone is still saying that we havent beaten a good team yet. When is everyone going to realize that this Met team is different from years past and beyond that they are capable of beating any team in the bigs. Give them some respect.

  7. I like the match up tonight with Trachsel going against Gavin Floyd. Last night was definitely the right time for the bats to get going too.

How about Tom Glavine helping his own cause with two hits, a walk and 2 RBI? And Carlos Beltran has been contributing nicely lately.

The next series will be challenging as the back end of the rotation faces Milwaukee then we head on to face Albert Pujols and the Cardinals.
