The New York Mets Baseball Podcast is where fans of the New York Mets pro baseball team get their fix.

Real tough loss to the Brewers. Especially with Pedro on the mound. He looked good when he was getting guys out but those two dingers were killers.
The bats have something to account for as well with a ton of guys left on base.
We need a sweep to salvage this road trip and keep the Phillies at bay.
I was real surprised by this loss. I think the lost philly and brewer series may be the week we look back and examine where the season started slipping away.
To tell the truth, I was worried going into the Phillies series. I had this thought that we’d lose all three games. I don’t know why I felt so down, I’ve been very positive until that series, but I was happy when we won game two, since it was some padding for what I feared would be a loss in game three.
We have a rough time coming up, the cards and the yanks, a shaky starting staff, and a suddenly very human relief crew. But, these moments come to every team in every season. If the Mets are the championship caliber team I thought they were in March, they’ll come through these series intact. Otherwise… anyone got a golf club for David Wright?
Hey,
Great podcast Rob. I thought all the fans would appreciate this. http://www.sandiegoserenade.com/2006/04/1986_world_series_game_6_reena.html
Its the “1986 World Series Game 6 Re-Enacted in RBI Baseball”
Hopefully, we will have as great of a year as we did in ‘86.

Rob my friend-
Great job on the Mets podcast – I was a long time listener to New York Minute but I like this format even better. Keep up the good work.
I know how much we all hate the Yanks but with the desperate straits our rotation is in I feel it is a shame to waste Pedro and Glavine starts on them with the Phils coming to town right after. At this point I don’t see many choices but I’d much prefer those arms in there against our division rivals.
I know it’s “only” a mid-week series in May but the Phils series is about as important a Mets series can be at this point in the season – we gotta take ‘em.
Hey what do you think about giving Endy a try in left field and giving Floyd a longer rest (or better yet, trading him for a young pitcher, maybe get Seo back?)
Thanks Dan. I’d hate to look ahead to the next Phils series, especially with five games against good teams between now and then.
I’m really hot to beat the Yanks so I want to see Glavine and Pedro facing them.
And we may just be seeing the light with Cliff Floyd. He had a couple of hits last night which might just signal that he’s going to heat up. I like Endy’s speed and hustle but we need a bigger bat in the lineup.
In “Ugh” news, another good outing by Kazmir last night.
As a Jets fan I understand the joy of dwelling on bad events, but as a Mets fan I think we have to let go of the Kazmir trade at least in reagrds to Kazmir and the garbage that we’ve received in exchange. What was, was. The important thing for the Mets front office is not to make mistakes like this again.
One thing that I’m surprised hasn’t been mentioned recently… the Mets were reportedly upset with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for not being more forth-coming about Victor’s health. But when Zambrano ran off the mound on Saturday, the Mets had no idea! that he’d been suffering pain the whole season. So if the Mets can have doctors monitoring him, and have no idea that Vic Zam was injured, maybe it wasn’t the D-Ray’s fault? It seems to me that Victor is either a very tough or selfish guy. I don’t know him personally, so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
Tough loss last night. Hard to record a podcast on a down note!
Trachsel gave the Mets a good outing but we still couldn't get those runners in from scoring position with less than two outs.
Lima throwing this afternoon. Ugh!
Rob, we need to win a seris and we have pedro and glavine in the yankee seris so this might be the seris we can get back on track and lets hope cliff floyd starts to heat up this line up needs it delgado can’t carry this team on his back with a little help from time to time reyes and beltran who is looking a lot better this year at the plate.
1 quick question when are you on that frappr website? I’m on it
…Lets Go Mets!
